Good Questions

Frequently Asked Questions.

Minimums, turnaround, art files, and the stuff that trips people up. If your question isn't here, call 630.791.8099.

How fast can you print my order?
Standard turnaround is 10 to 12 business days plus shipping. Rush is available by custom quote via email. Orders placed after 5:00 PM process the next business day.
What's the minimum order?
There's no minimum order. You can order as few as one piece. Smaller runs print on the Premium Film Print process (digital screen print / DTF) with no screen fees, and you can mix sizes, garment styles, and shirt colors in one order as long as the ink colors stay the same.
Can you build an online store for my team or business?
Yes. We set up a free online merch store for teams, schools, companies, and brands. Everyone orders their own size and pays online; we print, pack, and ship. More on online stores.
What art files do you accept?
PSD, EPS, PDF, or AI at 300 dpi or higher. Files under 10MB can be emailed; send bigger files via a Dropbox link. Convert Illustrator text to outlines. No art? Use our Design Lab.
Can I see blank apparel options before I order?
Yes. Browse blanks.soundandfuryprint.com for live inventory, brands, and colors. Custom sourcing is available by quote.
Why does white ink on a black shirt count as two colors?
Dark garments need an underbase, a white layer printed first so the top colors stay bright, like primer before paint. Skipping it gives a softer "vintage" look but sacrifices vibrancy.
Do you ever waive screen and setup fees?
Screens are free on orders of 100+ pieces per design, and screens are always free on reorders.
What print sizes can you do?
Standard prints go up to 12.5" x 16", and oversized prints up to 15" x 22". Your artwork stays the same size across all garment sizes in a run, and printing over seams can cause minor imperfections, so we'll flag it if your placement runs into one.
What is DTF (digital screen print)?
DTF, our Premium Film Print process, uses Direct-To-Film technology for high-resolution, photorealistic, full-color designs with no screen fees and low minimums. It's perfect for small runs, detailed art, tote bags, and fleece. On very lightweight tees the print can feel slightly heavier than traditional screen printing. More on DTF.
Can I mix sizes and shirt colors in one order?
Yes. You can mix garment sizes, styles, and shirt colors in a single order as long as the ink colors stay the same. Changing an ink color mid-run is a $10 per-color fee (one change per 25 items).
How does payment work?
Full payment is required upfront. Once your quote is approved and payment is in, your art goes to proofing and production begins.
What if something is wrong with my order?
Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order if anything is missing or not right. We'll make it right and adjust the billing as needed. Email info@soundandfuryprint.com or call 630.791.8099.
How do I care for screen-printed apparel?
Wash cold on a gentle cycle (low spin), inside out, with mild detergent and like colors. Hang or air dry when you can, and avoid ironing directly on the print. That keeps the print looking sharp wash after wash.
